Relief milking jobs in Waikato and Taranaki.

Taranaki And Waikato Relief Milking Jobs

I run a couple relief milking groups on Facebook, both of which are steadily growing. The first is Taranaki Relief Milking, which has over 1,000 members, with a current average of 50 new members each week. To date, this is the only relief milking group for Taranaki, which is a little surprising considering that Taranaki is a major region for dairying. There’re also a number of chat rooms for members to use, and new ones can be added upon request.

The second is Waikato Relief Milking. In less than two years it’s acquired a membership of over 5,000. At the time of writing this, membership count currently stands at 5,241, with an average of 80 new members joining each week. It’s the second largest relief milking group for all of New Zealand, and the largest and fastest-growing one for the Waikato region. We’re aiming for at least 6,000 members by the end of this year. As with Taranaki Relief Milking, this group also has a number of chat rooms for use.

So, if you’re a reliever looking for work, or a dairy farmer needing a relief milker, in either the Taranaki or Waikato regions then you won’t go too far wrong in joining these groups. They can also be used to organise farm sitting, ‘milk for rent’ accommodation, and full-time farm employment. There are a number of rules in place in order to keep things efficient, productive, and fair for all members, and I actively keep an eye on proceedings so spam won’t be a problem, unlike on some other groups where it can be allowed to run riot. I also regularly advertise both Taranaki Relief Milking and Waikato Relief Milking on Facebook on over 50 local community groups in those two regions, which helps to give membership numbers a really good boost.

Being part of the Taranaki group has given me steady work over the last few weeks. Thanks heaps for creating a platform where we can easily find jobs!

The advertising in community groups is a smart move. I wouldn’t have known about your Taranaki group if I hadn’t seen one of your posts on the Inglewood pages.
